New Red Baron Platinum Light, Canada's Lowest Calorie Beer
WATERLOO, ON, Oct. 14 /CNW/ - Brick Brewing Company (TSX: BRB) announced today the launch of their new Red Baron Platinum Light, a light beer with only 60 calories per bottle, making it the lowest calorie beer made in Canada.
"Today's consumer is placing more emphasis on healthy and tasty products that better suit their lifestyle" said Sean Dennis, Director of Marketing for Brick Brewing Company. "We found that many people were unaware of the calorie content in beer. At only 60 calories per serving, Platinum Light allows men and woman to enjoy a great tasting beer that is almost half the calories of regular light beer" added Dennis.
Red Baron Platinum Light is specially brewed for Canadian beer tastes by blending premium two-row malted barley and a touch of wheat resulting in a fresh, crisp light beer with rich colour and the clean flavour you expect from a light beer.
"Brewing quality products is the foundation of our business" said George Croft, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Taste, calories and price are prime motivators for beer drinkers and we think we have hit the mark with Red Baron Platinum Light" added Croft.
Red Baron Platinum Light is expected to hit the shelves of The Beer Store by November 1, 2010. Platinum Light 6-pack bottles will retail for only $9.95 including deposit.
