NORTH BAY, ON, Jan. 15, 2016 /CNW/ - Ontario Northland will be offering service from Sudbury to Ottawa three days per week as of Thursday, January, 21st.
"This route will provide a growth opportunity for our business and provide connectivity for the communities we serve," stated Corina Moore, President and CEO of Ontario Northland. "This new route will enhance our service and provide convenience for passengers travelling to and from the north. The schedule has been tailored to meet the needs of our passengers connecting through Sudbury and North Bay."
Ontario Northland has partnered with ticketing agencies in Sturgeon Falls, Mattawa, Pembroke, Petawawa, Renfrew and Ottawa and flag stops have been identified in Warren, Verner, Deep River, Chalk River, Cobden, Arnprior, Kanata and Ottawa Bayshore Mall.
The weekly schedule consists of:
- Thursday, Friday, and Sunday
- Depart Sudbury at 2:05 pm arrive in Ottawa at 9:00 pm
- Friday, Saturday, Monday
- Depart Ottawa at 7:00 am arrive in Sudbury at 1:50 pm
Ontario Northland is committed to providing reliable and effective transportation service and sustainable long-term employment in northeastern Ontario. Passenger volumes for this pilot program will be monitored, and the service will be assessed after a six-month period.
