New Toyota and Scion vehicles awarded to Tilbury Home Hardware and Lions Club
TILBURY, ON, June 7, 2012 /CNW/ - Tilbury Home Hardware and the Tilbury Lions and Rotary Clubs are riding in style after being awarded this week with the keys to two new vehicles from Toyota and Scion. As part of Home Hardware's Home Owners helping Home Towns program, the store was chosen from a random draw to receive a 2012 Toyota Tundra pick-up truck and invited to select a local charity to benefit from a new 2012 Scion iQ. The Scion iQ will be raffled off by the Lions Club and the Rotary Club, with all proceeds going to support the community's splash pad project.
"As a local business owner, there is no greater feeling than giving back to the community," said Bret Drew, Dealer-Owner, Tilbury Home Hardware. "This is a great opportunity to present my local Lions Club and Rotary Club with a new vehicle they can use as part of their community service work. We also really appreciate the Toyota Tundra and know it will help us serve our customers and the community."
Toyota Canada Inc. and Home Hardware Stores Limited have a multi-year business relationship, with Toyota as the official vehicle of Home Hardware and Home Hardware as the official home improvement retailer of Toyota. "On behalf of the Dealer-Owners at more than 1,080 Home Hardware stores across Canada, I would like to congratulate Bret Drew, Blake Drew and their entire Staff on their new truck and recognize their contribution to the community of Tilbury," said Paul Straus, President and CEO, Home Hardware Stores Limited. "The strength of Home Hardware's independent Dealers lies in the close ties they share with the communities where they do business, and we feel it's important to celebrate those important contributions."
