New Union Gas energy-efficiency incentives help business customers lower operating costs
First 500 'early birds' to qualify will receive an additional $200 for eligible programs
CHATHAM, ON, April 3, 2012 /CNW/ - Union Gas today announced its new and improved 2012 EnerSmart energy-efficiency incentives, which will help Ontario businesses reduce their energy use, save money and lighten their environmental footprint.
Since 1997, the Union Gas EnerSmart program has provided financial incentives to the company's business customers to implement projects that will use natural gas more efficiently.
This year, the program has been expanded to include new incentive offerings and significantly higher financial incentives on select offerings. In addition, the first 500 qualifying customers will receive an extra $200 early bird incentive for eligible programs.
"Union Gas is committed to helping our business customers make smart investments in energy-efficient equipment and technologies," said Dave Simpson, Union Gas' general manager of in-franchise sales and marketing. "Our 2012 EnerSmart incentives will help businesses manage their energy more efficiently and ultimately, save money. And with the increased value of many of our incentive offerings, it's a great time for businesses to apply."
Energy incentives are available for a wide range of business sectors including education, health care, agriculture, multi-unit residential, industrial and more. Program offerings are tailored to meet each sector's unique needs and maximize natural gas saving opportunities.
Since the EnerSmart program was introduced, Union Gas has helped its business customers reduce their natural gas consumption by about 5.6 billion cubic metres of natural gas - or the equivalent of heating over 2 million homes for a year.
