Newmarket's TieiT App receives OCE SmartStart Seed Fund
NEWMARKET, ON, Oct. 31, 2016 /CNW/ - York Region technology startup, TieiT, a sales, marketing automation and business management platform has been awarded the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) SmartStart Seed Fund.
TieiT is a sales, marketing and business management platform that was born out of a need from clients who are seeking an easy to use, integrated application that would drive in new leads, convert sales and streamline businesses. TieiT unifies commonly used applications with the goal of aggregating important business data, ensuring more qualified leads. With an endorsement and support from ventureLAB, the regional innovation centre for York Region, Simcoe County and Muskoka District, founders Jessica Rawlley and Anton Annestan submitted the SmartStart Seed Fund application with plans to use the funding to integrate more enhanced features to improve user experience and create a mobile application for both iOS and Android operating systems.
Along with creating the mobile applications, the TieiT team will use a portion of the funds to add a bilingual component to TieiT. "We want to be able to support our existing clients in French speaking Canada and be able to focus on providing French speaking users a robust solution," says Rawlley.
To date, TieiT has seen an adoption of users who are switching from other applications including Salesforce, HubSpot and InfusionSoft. TieiT is solving a need for businesses seeking a robust application that integrates their sales (CRM), marketing (email marketing, social media, landing pages and more) plus their business management (invoicing and estimating) on one platform instead of having to pay and subscribe for multiple different applications which ends up being a heavy expense for small to mid-sized businesses. The days of one-dimensional CRM systems are in the past and TieiT is making it easier for businesses to adapt to new technologies. TieiT aligns with the way buyers today behave and provides businesses with the tools they need to engage, nurture and convert new prospects and past customers.
The SmartStart Seed Fund is an OCE program for Ontario's next generation of entrepreneurs, giving them access to much needed funding to take their start-ups to the next level. It is a competitive selection process where OCE's goal is to find innovative technology entrepreneurs that are solving real business needs. With two streams available, one for youth entrepreneurs aged 18-29 and the other available to entrepreneurs over the age of 30 the program provides both seed financing and financing for entrepreneurship skills training, helping companies get investment or become customer ready. Applicants must be working with a Regional Innovation Centre, such as ventureLAB to be eligible for the program.
"Having organizations like ventureLAB and OCE who really care about the success of entrepreneurs and start-ups, really helps to foster an environment of success for all those who have the pleasure of going through these programs and meeting the amazing people behind it."
ventureLAB has worked closely with the TieiT team to realize their goals. "We are incredibly excited for Jessica and her team at TieiT. This fund will help them achieve their milestones and we look forward to continuing to support their journey," says Rachel Azagury, Director of Marketing for ventureLAB.
