NEWS ADVISORY - Invest in corrections - or nobody's safe: OPSEU
TORONTO, March 26, 2018 /CNW/ - "Unless Wednesday's provincial budget invests heavily in fixing the crisis in corrections, no one in Ontario should feel safe: not staff, not inmates, not families in communities across this province." That is the stark message that OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas will hammer home at a news conference at Queen's Park.

Thomas will talk about the alarming state of the province's corrections system in light of Bill 6, the Correctional Services Transformation Act, and in anticipation of the provincial budget. Joining him will be Chris Jackel, chair of the Correctional bargaining team.
