News Advisory - Should Trees Need a Licence? Law Prof Thinks So
Asthma, Allergies and Air Pollution Summit April 30-May 1
U.S. professor contends that pollen should be regulated
TORONTO, April 28, 2014 /CNW/ - The Asthma Society of Canada is holding a summit in Toronto on April 30th and May 1st, 2014, bringing together leaders and experts to look closely at the connections between asthma and respiratory allergies in Canada and the environment and health — particularly air quality and lung health.
The two-day meeting includes a presentation by Ohio State University visiting law professor Brian Sawers, who contends that pollen from trees and plants should be more tightly regulated by governments:
"People have built a world that increases the harm we suffer from pollen … Several cities already regulate allergenic plants, but government can do more to reduce pollen allergies."
Professor Brian Sawers is available for interview.
