MONTREAL, Jan. 19, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Journalists are invited to attend Metro's Annual Shareholders Meeting and a news briefing after the meeting adjourns. During the meeting, Metro will discuss various subjects and will present the results for the first quarter of fiscal 2011-2012.

Journalists who wish to attend the Annual Meeting must register at the "Media" table. Question period is for shareholders only.

A webcast version of the Annual Meeting will be accessible on metro.ca, under the corporate section.

N.B.: No electronic equipment (video or still cameras, tape recorders, etc.) will be permitted in the room where the Annual General Meeting is being held. However, a brief taping session will be allowed prior to the opening of the meeting.
