News conference advisory - Teacher organizations around the world gather against austerity measures in education
MONTREAL, May 27, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - On the occasion of the world conference on quality education, a news conference will be held tomorrow morning at 10:30 am with key education leaders Susan Hopgood, President of Education International (EI), Fred van Leeuwen, EI General Secretary, Dianne Woloschuk, President of the Canadian Teachers' Federation (CTF) and Louise Chabot, President of the Centrale des syndicats du Québec (CSQ).

The "Unite for Quality Education "conference brings together education leaders from around the world as they examine the major challenges and issues in education today. The world conference is organized by EI, the voice of 30-million educators around the world through its 400 Affiliate members in over 170 countries and territories.
Representatives of other EI affiliate Members based in Quebec include the Fédération nationale des enseignantes et des enseignants du Québec (FNEEQ-CSN), the Fédération des professeures et professeurs d'université (FQPPU) and the Fédération du personnel professionnel des universités et de la recherche (FPPU) who will also be available for interviews.
