Ground-breaking event kicks off construction for first condominium building and outlines cutting-edge vision for future live-work-play neighbourhood
TORONTO, May 14, 2012 /CNW/ - Award-winning, Toronto-based architects Peter Clewes of architectsAlliance and Bruce Kuwabara of KPMB Architects—representing a high-profile Integrated Design Team—will outline the stunning architectural and neighbourhood vision for the dynamic Canary District community, which will transition from a home for athletes participating in the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games, into Toronto's most ambitious city-planning project in generations.
The sustainable, mixed use neighbourhood will feature market condominiums and affordable housing, world-class lifestyle amenities and top-tier retail, making it Toronto's most desirable live-work-play destination for decades to come.
The presentation will also include a design overview for Block 11— the first building slated for construction and the future Canary District Condominiums—by Dundee Kilmer's President Jason Lester, as well as a ground-breaking ceremony for the building.
