Nexen Tire Ranks Fourth in the Passenger Car Segment of the J.D. Power OE Tire Customer Satisfaction Study Français

SEOUL, South Korea, April 4, 2016 /CNW/ -- Nexen Tire, a leading global tire manufacturer, announced that the company has ranked 4th out of 12 tire brands in the Passenger Car segment of the 2016 J.D. Power Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study, marking a considerable improvement in customer satisfaction from last year.
"This study's results showcase the remarkable growth of Nexen Tire," said Nexen Tire. The company also added that, "Through continuous investments in R&D, Nexen Tire will continue to improve product quality and technology in order to increase global customer satisfaction and become a top global player amongst tire manufacturers."
The major factors in regards to tire satisfaction for this study consist of 'Tire Ride', 'Tire Traction and Handling', 'Tire Wear', and 'Tire Appearance.' Of note, Nexen Tire increased 82 points in the 'Tire Wear' factor from the 2015 study, which was a significant rise. This factor is what customers consider to be the most important out of all the tire satisfaction factors, which led to an improvement in customer satisfaction for the company's products this year.
J.D. Power is a global marketing information services company, which is especially well known for its customer satisfaction research on new-car quality. The 2016 U.S. Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study is based on responses from 31,977 original owners of 2014 or 2015 model-year vehicles from October through December 2015. The study objects include 12 tire brands; Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Firestone, Goodyear, Hankook, Kumho, Michelin, Nexen, Pirelli, Toyo, and Yokohama.
