Niagara Casinos tops off a year of giving with annual donation to Project SHARE
NIAGARA FALLS, ON, Dec. 18, 2014 /CNW/ - Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara crowned its 2014 corporate giving program with a $5,000 contribution to Project SHARE's annual holiday fundraising drive. The gift was presented at Project SHARE's 24th Annual Good News Breakfast and accompanies hundreds of pounds of food items and toys collected by casino employees from November 13 to December 11.
"It's a tremendous feeling to support an organization like Project SHARE that provides essential aid to a growing number of people in our community," said Art Frank, President of Niagara Casinos. "We're very proud of the number and diversity of organizations that we support each year through our corporate giving program."
This announcement comes on the heels of a $215,000 donation to the United Way of Niagara Falls and Greater Fort Erie thanks to an ambitious Niagara Casinos' workplace campaign that raised $115,000 in addition to a corporate contribution of $100,000.
In addition to monetary support, Niagara Casinos strongly encourages its employees to participate in community initiatives. As a result, the Region's charitable sector benefits from thousands of volunteer hours and professional services helping to raise funds and awareness for local charities and community organizations.
"I am always amazed by the dedication and generosity we see from the casino associates," said Elaine Pihach, Executive Director at Project SHARE. "And I am so thankful we can continue to count on their support year after year."
