2-day event to feature latest in green technology
NIAGARA REGION, ON, May 2, 2012 /CNW/ - Niagara will be the site of the 7th annual Green Fleet Expo (GFX) - a two-day conference and trade show developed for municipalities interested in greening their fleets.
Niagara Region and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation are partnering with the City of Toronto, Electric Mobility Canada and Fleet Challenge Ontario to host the event.
The event will take place June 21 and 22 in Thorold at the Sheraton Four Points, 3530 Schmon Parkway.
"The annual GFX showcases the latest advances in green technology available for municipal and private sector fleets," said Kim Coz, Associate Director, Transportation Services, Niagara Region. "Ultimately, GFX seeks to help organizations operate fleets that are as efficient and environmentally friendly as possible. Fleet managers and other participants can learn about the latest green fleet technologies as well as best management practices."
The event is open to anyone with an interest in automobile green technology and includes seminars, expert panel discussions, manufacturer exhibits and "ride and drive" demonstrations. More than 20 different vehicles will be on display and available for test driving.
Event details, including the agenda, list of speakers, and fees are available at Green Fleet Expo 2012.
