Nice! Friday the 13th will occur three times in 2015 - Loto-Québec makes winners, even on Friday the 13th Français
MONTRÉAL, Feb. 12, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Friday the 13th will occur three times in 2015: once in February, once in March and once in November. Friday the 13th can occur as seldom as once in a year and at the most, three times, a phenomenon that is much rarer. The latter case occurs when a non-leap year begins on a Thursday, as is the case in 2015, and when a leap year begins on a Sunday.
A day considered luckey by many
Since 1999, 25 draws have taken place on a Friday the 13th, resulting in many large prizes for Québec residents. In fact, 53 prizes of $50,000 or more were won on these dates, bringing the total of Friday the 13th prizes to nearly $33 million.
Among these prizes, one $25 million jackpot and 2 Maxmillions (worth $1 million each) won at the Friday, August 13, 2010 Lotto Max draw were won in Québec, and the Super 7 jackpot of $2.5 million was won on Friday, October 13, 2006.
