Nightingale Informatix Corporation Announces Plans to Achieve Class II
Medical Device Licensing by March 1, 2011
MARKHAM, ON, June 24 /CNW/ - Nightingale Informatix Corporation (TSX-V: NGH) ("Nightingale" or the "Company"), an application service provider (ASP) of electronic medical record (EMR) software and related services today announces that the process to achieving Class II medical device licensing for its Nightingale On Demand EMR system, as mandated by Health Canada, is well underway.
Nightingale is highly supportive of this initiative by Health Canada and is committed to completing the licensing process no later than March 1, 2011, which is well before the Health Canada deadline of September 1, 2011.

As part of the licensing requirements, Nightingale is in the process of achieving ISO 13485:2003 compliance and certification. ISO 13485:2003 is an international quality standard and is a pre-requisite to achieving Medical Device Class II certification for patient management software companies. MDEL Class II requires software companies to have quality systems and processes in place according to international quality standards. Nightingale's facilities are currently certified under Health Canada Medical Device Class I.
