Nightingale Informatix Corporation Receives ONC-ACB Certification by Drummond Group
MARKHAM, ON, Feb. 26, 2013 /CNW/ - Nightingale Informatix Corporation ("Nightingale" or the "Company") (TSX-V: NGH), a cloud- based electronic medical record (EMR) software provider has had Nexia™ EMR v. 1.2 tested and certified under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program. This EHR software is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
"This is an important milestone for Nexia™, our next generation product. We look forward to helping our clients achieve meaningful use and qualify for incentive funds under ARRA. This certification is the result of a lot of hard work by our dedicated team of designers, developers and quality assurance testers," says Sam Chebib, President & CEO, Nightingale Informatix Corporation.
Drummond Group's ONC-ACB certification program certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology - a key component of the federal government's push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.
Nexia™ EMR, which met the requirements for Meaningful Use Stage 1 is a multi-tenanted, cloud-based application that was designed from the ground-up to be as easy to use as possible with the goal of zero-based training.
"Right from the start, Nightingale has put an emphasis on the user experience and has engaged client feedback at each step of the design process," continues Chebib, "we have leveraged our 10 years of experience in the market and the demands of thousands of our users to develop a true next generation platform. The result is an application that requires little to no training, runs on any operating system such as Apple, Android and Microsoft and delivers the functions that our clients want in an intuitive manner."
"Leveraging information technology for healthcare initiatives provides the opportunity to deliver a high-level quality of care and efficiency which essentially benefits and enhances the overall patient experience," says Rik Drummond, CEO of the Drummond Group Inc. "We have been testing software for more than a decade and will continue to provide our extensive experience testing and certifying complex systems for multiple industries, as well as ensuring interoperability and security remain key components in the growing healthcare industry."
Nightingale anticipates that it will have achieved certification for Meaningful Use Stage 2 by the end of 2013.
"This Complete EHR is 2011 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments."
