MARKHAM, ON, April 2, 2014 /CNW/ - Nightingale Informatix Corporation ("Nightingale" or the "Company") (TSX-V: NGH), a cloud-based provider of electronic health record (EHR) software and related services, today announced the availability of the next release (R5) of its next-generation EHR platform - NightingaleEHR
"This is Nightingale's 5th production release of NightingaleEHR," said Sam Chebib, President & CEO of Nightingale. "It represents a significant milestone in our journey towards a game-changing EHR that is intuitive, browser agnostic, robust and secure. We have been hard at work designing our new product, in collaboration with our clients, to be so easy-to-use that almost no training is needed."
Nightingale has invested significant time and resources into NightingaleEHR. NightingaleEHR has been built and designed based on the Nexia technology platform and has been designed around five key principles: (1) Device and browser agnostic; (2) Highly intuitive with zero-based training needs; (3) Role based and workflow driven; (4) Highly interoperable; and (5) Multi-lingual support.
"R5 of NightingaleEHR is aimed at addressing the needs of our US clients," said Trevor Henderson, EVP of Operations at Nightingale. "This release introduces the new Billing module and is comprehensive of medical billing and practice management, including electronic billing to insurance companies, electronic payments and remittance, patient statements, and claims management. Taken as a whole, this version of NightingaleEHR is the path forward for clients using our RidgeMark and Medrium products."
NightingaleEHR is already certified for Meaningful Use Stage 1 and certification for Meaningful Use Stage 2 is scheduled for June 2014. With the release of R5 the company will also begin ICD-10 testing with select clients during the summer.
"We are really excited about R5 and the continued success of the NightingaleEHR platform," continued Chebib. "Feedback from our pilot sites and early adopters has been extremely positive - especially around the product's intuitive and easy-to-use interface. We continue to put our energy behind NightingaleEHR and drive towards our own internal goal of 'one-company, one platform'."
