Nine West redefines shopping at Yorkdale Mall with signature flagship store

TORONTO, May 30, 2013 /CNW/ - 9W We Do Shoe.  Nine West announces the grand re-opening of its flagship store at Yorkdale Mall, the first of its kind in Canada!

Mirroring the dynamics of the New York Lexington flagship store, the newly renovated Yorkdale Nine West store creates a revolutionary experience, inspired by a woman's enduring desire to surround herself with great shoes!

Tim Davison, Chief Operating Officer, describes this new experience as "Unlike any other shoe store in the centre.  It is a combination of new architectural details and merchandising techniques that have changed the typical square box 'bricks and mortar' experience.  We have a new way of looking at shoe store design...We Do Shoe!!!"

With less is more in mind, Nine West has captured the top selection in sandals, pumps, platforms, flats and boots for the shoe fashionista.  Different from the everyday volume concept presented by other retailers, the new design features unique beauty wall trends:

• The 'Pump Parlour' Wall - A showcase of signature heels.                                               
• The 'Ballet Bar' Wall - An array of ballet flats for every woman's need.
• The 'We Do Shoe' Wall - The hot to trot collection.
• The 'Sandal Salon' Wall - The whole kit and caboodle - colourful collation.

The store is a show stopper.  An intimate gallery designed with a chic white frame interior accented by lush pink benches that is not to be missed.  Marlene Lavecchia, VP of Retail Operations, describes the ambiance as "Pretty in pink and what woman doesn't love pink!"
