Nissan Canada Inc. Announces April 2010 Sales

MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 3 /CNW/ - Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) today released its April 2010 sales figures with 7,189 total units sold, up 1.63 per cent from April 2009.

Sales for the Nissan brand totaled 6,576 units in April, up nearly one per cent from the same period last year, while the Infiniti brand accounted for 613 units sold, up thirteen per cent from April 2009.

Altima had a strong month with 1,103 units sold. 370Z lead all Nissan model sales with its best April since 2004 selling 145 units, up nearly 120 per cent from the same period last year. Also recording strong monthly sales were Maxima, Xterra, Armada and Pathfinder.

Sales for the Infiniti brand increased 13 per cent over April 2009. The G line remained consistent with 319 units sold. Infiniti's M more than doubled April 2009 sales and QX, EX and FX also recorded a year-over-year increase of 83, 17 and 19 per cent respectively.
