Nissan Canada Inc. Records Best September Sales Ever
- Sales of Nissan and Infiniti Vehicles Increase 18.2 Per Cent -
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct 1 /CNW/ - Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) today released its September sales results, with the company recording its strongest September in history, selling 8,548 units - an increase of 18.2 per cent over September 2009. Both brands contributed to the achievement, with Nissan and Infiniti increasing 18.3 and 17.4 per cent respectively, over the same period last year and Infiniti experiencing its 11th straight month of growth.
Nissan Altima was the strongest seller this month with 1,685 units sold, up 64.9 per cent, followed by Sentra and Versa with 1,493 and 1,375 units, respectively. Sales of Maxima and Rogue jumped 116.8 and 59.7 per cent, respectively, in September and Nissan trucks were also popular with Titan (87.2 per cent), Frontier (91.9 per cent), Armada (153.3 per cent), Pathfinder (177.8 per cent) and Xterra (241.3 per cent), and all showing significant year-over-year increases for September.
Infiniti's strong September was led by its G family with 362 units sold, followed by EX35 with 216 units sold (up 45.9 per cent). Sales of FX increased 141.2 per cent from September 2009 with 123 vehicles, while the 2011 Infiniti M increased 45.8 per cent over September 2009.
"The vehicle line-up across both the Nissan and Infiniti brands is the strongest it's ever been with innovative products that are being embraced by consumers," said Allen Childs, president, Nissan Canada. "Customers have a lot more to look forward to as we prepare for the arrival of the all-new Nissan JUKE and the expansion of the Infiniti line-up to include the all-new G25 Sedan and the Infiniti Performance Line."
NCI September 2010 HIGHLIGHTS
- Nissan Canada Inc. recorded its best September ever, selling a combined 8,548 vehicles, up 18.2 per cent over September 2009.

- The Infiniti brand recorded its second-best September ever with 750 units sold - up 17.4 per cent - and its 11th straight month of growth.
