Nissan Canada Inc. Records Its Second-Highest Annual Sales in 2009
MISSISSAUGA, ON,
Total 2009 sales for both the Nissan and Infiniti brands equaled 79,018 units. Of that, Nissan accounted for 71,937 units, while Infiniti ended the year with 7,081 units.
Altima led all Nissan models with 1,081 units sold, up 44 per cent from

- Total NCI sales equaled 79,018 in 2009, down five per cent over 2008
making this the second-highest sales year in the company's history
- Nissan's 2009 sales were down 4.5 per cent over 2008 with 71,937
units sold - also the second-highest sales year for the Nissan brand
- Total NCI sales for the month of December were up almost 14 per cent
over the same period last year, with 5,141 units
- The Nissan brand saw a 15 per cent increase in December sales over
same month in 2008 with 4,652 units
- Altima lead the charge for Nissan in December, totaling 1,081 units
(44 per cent increase over December 2008), followed closely behind by
Versa with 1,070 units
- Truck sales continued a strong momentum in December with Armada,
Titan, Pathfinder and Xterra registering high increases in sales over
the same period last year
- Infiniti sales for the month of December 2009 were up one per cent
over same period in 2008, with G leading all models at 234 units sold
