Nissan Group Reports July Canadian Sales

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Aug. 1, 2014 /CNW/ - Nissan Group today announced total Canadian sales for July of 11,434 units, an increase of 39.8 per cent and an all-time monthly sales record. This sales achievement marks 12 consecutive months of record sales growth for the Nissan Group in Canada.

The Nissan brand increased 43.3 per cent with 10,656 units sold, setting a monthly sales record. The Infiniti brand increased 5.1 per cent over the same period last year, with 778 units sold.

Nissan Division July highlights:

• Best month ever for the Nissan Group at 11,434 sales, an increase of 39.8 per cent.
• July marks the fifth consecutive month of sales surpassing 10,000 units.
• The all-new Nissan Rogue crossover set all-time monthly sales record with 2,801 units sold, a 91 per cent increase.
• Sales of the Pathfinder sport utility vehicle set a July record at 813, marking an increase of 19 per cent over the previous year.
• Frontier truck sales were up 40 per cent to 304, also a July record.
• NV200 compact cargo van sales increased 98 per cent to 143 in July.
• Best month on record for the all-electric Nissan LEAF with 117 deliveries, an increase of 178 per cent over last year.
• In its third full month back in Canadian dealerships, the all-new 2015 Nissan Micra subcompact vehicle sales surpassed the 1,000 unit sales mark at 1,250.

Infiniti Division July highlights:

• In July, 778 Infiniti units were sold, marking 13 uninterrupted months of sales growth.
