QUEBEC CITY, Aug. 27, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Envol et Macadam Festival announce today that No Use For A Name will perform to honor the career of their lead singer Tony Sly who died July 31, 2012.
No Use For A Name past and present band members Matt Riddle ,Chris Rest ,Boz Rivera, Dave Nassie and Rory Koff as well as some guest singers will join together to be in Quebec to offer a special performance on Saturday, September 8 at Ilot Fleurie Park, downtown Quebec.
After careful consideration, the members of No Use For A Name,Tony Sly's wife and Tony's two brothers accepted the offer from Envol et Macadam to present a concert for his fans, friends and family to share their appreciation, respect and love for Tony Sly and to show support for the Tony Sly Memorial Fund https://www.facebook.com/notes/belis-aksoy/tony-sly-memorial-fund/10151347942217516 that will 100% benefit his two beautiful daughters.
This momentous concert will be a testimony to Tony Sly and will occur under the 17th edition of the Envol et Macadam Festival with Lagwagon, The Vandals, August Burns Red, Obey the Brave and many alternative bands from 15 countries.
Presented in collaboration with Tremblay Beer, the festival will return from 6 to 8 September Îlot Fleurie under the Dufferin-Montmorency highway, where the stage will be installed along with the EXO tent Première Ovation as well as several venues in the lower town of Quebec.
