Nominations now open for 2013 PwC Innovator of the Year Award

Nominations open until August 30; Winners to be announced on November 7

TORONTO, July 16, 2013 /CNW/ - PwC is now accepting nominations for the 2013 Innovator of the Year. The award is part of PwC's annual Vision to Reality (V2R) Awards, which celebrate emerging technology companies that have demonstrated growth and excellence and whose outstanding achievements have made them some of Canada's most successful technology companies. Applicants for Innovator of the Year are judged on three criteria - innovation, financial performance and strategic direction.

"The Innovator of the Year Award showcases companies who have had the courage to take a vision or idea and turn it into a viable reality of revenue and profit," says Eugene Bomba, National Emerging Company Services Leader at PwC. "We're looking for 'game changers' - ventures that really have the power to change up the landscape and bring a unique benefit to the industry."

Nominees are automatically considered for the Top 10 Up-and-Coming Technology Companies Award as well as the People's Choice Award. Nominations are open until August 30, and all award winners will be announced and recognized at a celebration event on November 7.
