NORTHERN SECURITIES INC. TO LEAD FINANCING FOR CANADIAN ZINC CORPORATION

TORONTO, Dec. 7 /CNW/ - Northern Securities Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Northern Financial Corporation (TSX:NFC), is pleased to announce that it has been engaged as lead agent, on behalf of a syndicate (the "Agents"), to raise $2,000,000 in a Flow-Through share financing (the "Offering") for Canadian Zinc Corporation (TSX:CZN) ("Canadian Zinc"). Canadian Zinc is a junior exploration company that owns the Prairie Creek Mine in the Mackenzie Mountains of the Northwest Territories. The mine is a large silver and base metals property in the advanced stages of development, with substantial resources of high-grade silver, zinc, and lead.
The Flow-Through shares are priced at $0.70 per share. Completion of the Offering is subject to certain conditions, including approval by the Toronto Stock Exchange and other regulatory agencies. The Offering is expected to be completed on or about December 21, 2010.
The Agents will be paid a commission fee of 7% in cash and 10% in broker warrants exercisable for common shares at $0.70 per share for a period of two years from closing.
