NorthGrid Solar Exceeds 4MW of Elevated Truss EPC Projects

System ideal for FIT 2.0 weak or congested rooftops

VAUGHAN, ON, Sept. 6, 2012 /CNW/ - NorthGrid Solar Inc. ("NorthGrid"), an Ontario-based Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company, has now surpassed 4MW of EPC projects using its proprietary Elevated Truss System (ETS).  The portfolio includes over 2 MW of completed projects as well as projects currently under construction and projects under contract.

The ETS structure is ideal for weak or congested roofs and where developers are considering applications under the Ontario Power Authority's FIT 2.0 Program.  The ETS system is especially suited for industrial, commercial or institutional buildings with a large number of rooftop units that cause shading or structures that are unable to support traditional ballasted solar energy systems.  The innovative solution also provides ongoing roof and HVAC maintenance access and the opportunity for improved system performance to the project owner.
