TORONTO, March 31, 2015 /CNW/ - Mr. Keith Mclean, Chair of the Board of Governors of Northmount School for Boys of Toronto has just announced that Dr. Terence Sheridan will assume the role of headmaster at the school starting this fall. Dr. Sheridan will finish the school year at St. Michael's College School where he is currently headmaster and join Northmount in September 2015. Founded in 1990, Northmount School is comprised of classes from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Eight and concentrates on academic excellence taught in the Catholic tradition.
Dr. Sheridan has been a leader in Catholic boys' education in Toronto for the past 20 years and enjoyed ever increasing responsibilities at St. Michael's College School where he has worked since 1997. While at St. Michael's, Dr. Sheridan was instrumental in curriculum development, advancing information technology, establishing a learning enrichment centre and implementing policies and procedures for students and staff under crises.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Sheridan received his Master of Arts in Teaching in 2003 and his Ph.D. in Educational Administration in 2013. His career success is evident in his regular promotions at St. Michael College School, where he was appointed as Vice-Principal of Discipline in 2001 and became Vice-Principal of Curriculum and Teacher Development in 2006. His strong service in these roles led to his 2010 appointment as the College School's 28th Principal. In June 2012, Dr. Sheridan was named the first lay President of St. Michael's, expanding his portfolio to President and Principal.

Dr. Sheridan is a self-motivated, academic who endeavours to live a life of goodness, discipline and knowledge.
