TORONTO, Oct. 9, 2018 /CNW/ - On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, the department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and CN Tower hosted a citizenship ceremony like no other. The Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, administered the Oath of Citizenship to six people from six different countries atop of CN Tower's EdgeWalk, outside and 116 storeys above ground! The ceremony kicked off this year's Citizenship Week (October 8 to 14).

We are proud to partner with CN Tower, Canada's most recognizable and celebrated icon which has hosted many previous citizenship ceremonies inside at various heights; this was the first on the EdgeWalk.
Show your pride by attending a citizenship ceremony in your area. More than 70 ceremonies are scheduled to take place across Canada during Citizenship Week. All Canadians are encouraged to share what it means to be Canadian and share a pic of their favourite Canadian place on social media using #CitizenshipWeek.
