Notice to media - The Solidarity Delegation from Asia to Québec is asking the
government and the people of Québec to show solidarity with them and NOT TO
FINANCE the Jeffrey asbestos mine
MONTREAL, Dec. 6 /CNW Telbec/ - An international delegation, composed of health activists, a leading trade unionist and victims of asbestos in countries to which Québec has exported asbestos (India, Indonesia, South Korea and Japan) is inviting the media to a press conference at which it will call on the government of Québec to not finance the Jeffrey asbestos mine. The delegation will also ask for the solidarity of the people of Québec to stop the financing.
The event will take place on December 7, 2010 at 10.30 am, in room 303, Centre St-Pierre, 1212 rue Panet in Montreal.
