Notice to the Media - Right to Housing: Simultaneous Move-ins in Front of Prime Ministers Harper and Couillard's offices in Ottawa and Saint-Félicien Français
OTTAWA AND SAINT-FÉLICIEN, QC, Nov. 18, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - On Friday November 21st, Canadian Housing Day, tenants from several Quebec regions will simultaneously move bed, stove, fridge, sofa and other furniture in front of the office of the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper, at the Langevin Building, in Ottawa, and in front of the constituency office of Premier of Quebec, Philippe Couillard, in Saint-Félicien, in Lac-Saint-Jean. These events, organized by the Front d'action populaire en réaménagement urbain (FRAPRU), a Quebec network of more than 160 groups, aims at reminding the two Prime Ministers of their responsibilities regarding the right to housing and in particular the funding of social housing.
