Notice to the media - Chief Public Health Officer to chair discussion on the spread of misinformation about vaccines on social media

OTTAWA, April 25, 2019 /CNW/ - Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada's Chief Public Health Officer, will convene a panel discussion, hosted by the Public Policy Forum, on the spread of misinformation about vaccines on social media and the impact it is having on vaccine-preventable diseases in Canada.

The discussion will include participants representing social media, media and digital literacy, public health and parent influencers, and will be streamed live at https://www.facebook.com/publicpolicyforum/.  

Dr. Tam, along with members of the panel will be available to speak with media following the discussion.
