NOTICE TO THE MEDIA - Government of Canada to make important announcement for suicide prevention and emotional distress support in Canada

TORONTO, July 21, 2023 /CNW/ - The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions and Associate Minister of Health, will make an important announcement regarding the three digit (9-8-8) suicide helpline.

Minister Bennett will be joined by Élisabeth Brière, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions and Associate Minister of Health and by representatives from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

There will be a media availability immediately following the announcement.
