TORONTO, Dec. 26, 2013 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited (Toronto Hydro) is advising homeowners that are still without power and have made necessary repairs to notify the utility that their home is ready to be connected.
Please only report your outage if your damaged standpipe is repaired and has been inspected by The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) and if your neighbour's power is restored.
If you notice damage to your electrical equipment, you must have the repairs made before the utility can connect your home to the grid. Repairs to standpipes must be approved by the ESA. Once the repairs are approved, the utility is asking customers to report it to 416-542-8000 or http://bit.ly/1gQsI0w
To find an electrical contractor in your area, please visit ESA's site: www.esasafe.com or call 1.877.372.7233.
