Now's the time to live well - Réseau Sélection to offer residents of its retirement homes the healthyID® Agenda again in 2017 Français
LAVAL, QC, Dec. 22, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Réseau Sélection senior management team has been traveling across Québec from December 12 to 22 to present the new edition of the Agenda to the residents of several complexes.
For 2017, Canada's largest private operator of retirement homes will again offer the 10,000 residents of its 35 retirement complexes its healthyID® Agenda. Much more than a datebook, the healthyID® Agenda is a true goldmine of information, advice and suggestions to help retirees adopt a healthy lifestyle and stay active as long as possible. The information is organized around five themes grouped under the acronym H.E.A.L.T.H.: healthy eating, environment, activities, lifestyle and technology.
healthyID®: Part of Réseau Sélection's DNA
The healthyID® program emerged from Réseau Sélection's desire to improve the health and well-being of its residents in practical ways and is based on the latest research in geriatrics. The program promotes innovative health practices to help retirees stay independent and active.
The healthyID® Agenda is one of the program's cornerstones. Its other core component is the healthyID® Zone, which is being set up at a growing numbers of Réseau Sélection facilities and brings together a variety of professional services (kinesiologist, naturopath, pharmacy, foot care, osteopath, medical samplings, nursing care), a fitness room and customized fitness programs.
An original approach to Quebecers' health
"For the third edition of the Agenda, all our energies have been directed towards our residents' well-being," said Luc Lepage, Vice-President, Health of Réseau Sélection. "With the five pillars of healthyID®, we have created compelling content on 12 themes with the help of experts and specialists in various fields. Their contributions have strengthened the content of the Agenda, still the only reference document of its kind in the world of retirement homes."
Person-driven innovation
Creating stimulating, dynamic, tailored living environments, the company has earned recognition as one of the most innovative retirement home developers and operators in the land.
In 2015, Réseau Sélection announced a 5-year $2-billion development plan that calls for the construction of 30 new complexes. The plan is currently ahead of schedule, with the value of completed and in-progress projects expected to hit almost $900 million by the end of 2016.
"For us, innovation means asking what we can do to recognize retirees and make sure they are part of the community," said Richard Nadeau, Chief Financial Officer of Réseau Sélection. "This is the right question to ask, because it places human needs at the heart of the conversation and of the innovation process."
