On March 2, 2013, from 5 p.m to 2 a.m., the Pôle Parc olympique will be buzzing with superhero activity as it hosts a megaparty to which all are welcome!
This year's Nuit blanche à Montréal, presented by Hydro-Québec, will kick off in an even bigger and livelier location than last year's. In fact, for the first time, it will include the Esplanade Financière Sun Life and its winter village. The numerous activities available include the ever-popular outdoor appearance of the Biodôme penguins, and to many other new and exciting experiences for you to enjoy! At the Montreal Tower and around the park, a celebration of superheroes and their superpowers will be in full swing. Dress up for a night of fun and let your inner hero shine: let your imagination run wild to come up with your own super alter ego! Nuit blanche is yours!
Our Antarctic superheroes: the Biodôme penguins love their Montréal friends! Come say hello to the penguins as they head outdoors for their second highly anticipated excursion around the Biodôme.
Discover some night time superheroes, the Fascinating birds of prey; you can see these magnificent nocturnal predators out under the starry sky along with members of the Union québécoise de réhabilitation des oiseaux de proie (UQROP) team!
Oxfam-Québec also invites you to be a superhero for food justice by joining the Campaign Grow. Food. Life. Planet.
Put your superpowers to the test to solve a Murder Mystery unravelling in the ecosystems of the Biodôme. While nocturnal animals prowl about in the shadows, will you find the clues to help you track down the guilty one?
Be a superhero and reach new heights at the Montreal Tower, where you can experience the cosplay event held atop the world's tallest inclined tower!
To discover: the daring architecture of the brand new Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium which, just a few weeks from its grand opening, will twinkle like a star in the sky. Telescopes will be available for you to do some stargazing alongside our experts!
At the Esplanade Financière Sun Life Winter Village in the Olympic Park, take a ride down the over 60-metre-long slide and skate along the refrigerated ice rink, which will surely be an extreme experience! Also, as part of 1st Saturdays, Montreal's food truck will be on hand to serve some tasty delights for heroes' young and old alike to enjoy and discover.
In order to make your experience even more enjoyable, horse-drawn carriages will connect the Biodôme and the Esplanade Financière Sun Life!
