Anycast DNS solution adds protection and performance for .nz domains
COPENHAGEN, Denmark, March 13, 2017 /CNW/ - Today at the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) meetings in Copenhagen, NZRS, that operates the registry for .nz domain names, announced a partnership with the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) to deliver Anycast DNS services for the .nz domain.
Key facts
- .nz is a world class top level domain consisting of 670,000 registrations which sets demanding standards for technology providers, particularly in the areas of interconnectivity, data analytics and security.
- CIRA's D-Zone Anycast DNS augments .nz's DNS infrastructure with a global network of nodes and peering to over 2,300 networks. As part of this deal, CIRA and NZRS will also be working together to build a new Pacific node for CIRA's Anycast cloud.
- To help enable data-driven decision making at .nz, CIRA's solution provides both advanced query monitoring and reporting, as well as access to data files and trends for research and development purposes.
