TORONTO and OAKVILLE, ON, July 12, 2017 /CNW/ - The Randall Residences, recently awarded Best Mid-Rise Condo in Ontario, is nearly sold out.
Considering the strength of the Greater Toronto housing market and steadfast popularity of condo communities that may come as no surprise. What should be noted, however, are the unique buyers that The Randall is attracting.
Brought to life by Master Architect, Richard Wengle, and Interior Designer, Ferris Rafauli, the boutique condo of 36 suites was inspired by the same timeless architecture as premier residences now in development at No. 1 Palace Street in London, England. Originally built in 1861 the building in the heart of the English capital is itself an attraction, drawing tourists and amateur photographers to its design and rich history. What makes the property so enticing is that a section of the now ultra-premium residences was once the renowned Palace Hotel. For decades The Palace Hotel was host to eminent guests and dignitaries from around the world, its prime function being temporary home to the overflow of visitors from its immediate next door neighbour. Across the street from the building was, and still is, Buckingham Palace.
Not unlike The Palace Hotel, The Randall is now finding itself amidst regard from an international clientele. "For several of our buyers this isn't their only home," said Heather Weeks, Marketing Manager for The Randall builder Rosehaven Homes. "We offer premium luxury-living for those who require freedom and flexibility, and we've attracted people with those needs."
The design for The Palace Hotel, and in turn The Randall, was originally inspired by classic Parisian architecture. The refined style with focus on balance and symmetry grew popular in Paris in the 1800's when they redrew the city plans to include broad boulevards, arcades, and classically-inspired façades. It was a style that would influence architects around the world, bringing grand but understated buildings to New York City, Madrid, and of course, London.
Now there's a building born from classic Beaux Arts architecture in Oakville, Ontario, and it's receiving its grand share of attention. "We also have ten suites remaining," said Weeks. "Three of them are penthouses. And while our counterpart in London starts at over $21 Million, The Randall starts at $2.2 Million."
Construction on The Randall has reached the roof, and closings are scheduled for late spring/early summer 2018. The Randall is seeing prospective buyers by private appointment only.
