Océan Remorquage Montréal Inc. and the Seafarers' International Union of Canada reach a new collective agreement Français
Minister Leitch congratulates both parties
OTTAWA, April 27, 2015 /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, congratulated Océan Remorquage Montréal Inc. and the Seafarers' International Union of Canada on the renewal of their collective agreement.
The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program's Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the jurisdiction of the Canada Labour Code.

- Océan Remorquage Montréal Inc. is a member of the Ocean Group and provides towing services and marine salvage.
- The collective agreement covering all unlicensed personnel aboard tugs and all employees working in the maintenance of vessels and barges expired on April 30, 2012.
