The Montreal public urban agriculture calendar on murmitoyen.com/agricultureurbaine, created by the Mur Mitoyen, also lists a large number of activities that will be held in Montréal over the coming months on this issue.
The consultation began on May 12, with an OCPM exhibition held in the tent located behind the Marché Maisonneuve. The activity attracted more than 1000 citizens, who came to learn about agricultural practices. This was followed by a colloquy on May 17, where 300 citizens discussed various angles from which to approach difficulties related with agriculture in the city.
There are also other ways to participate in the consultation. For example, the Web site montrealacultiver.com allows people to share gardening and agricultural experiences, and any other related project.
Lastly, the Office commission will hear formal briefs for the consultation as of Monday, June 18, 7:00 p.m., at the offices of the OCPM.
All available information on the consultation may be obtained at the offices of the OCPM, 1550 Metcalfe Street, Suite 1414. The documentation is also available on the Office Web site, at www.ocpm.qc.ca.
