Presentation Description:
The "brand" word gets tossed around a lot - and not always with accuracy or clarity about what it means. Business leaders need to know how to grow a strong brand as the foundation of a successful business. They also should understand how communications can support brand development. This interactive presentation with presenter Sharon Bell, will use examples to discuss what makes a strong brand and some important considerations when building a brand.
Presenter: Sharon Bell
Sharon has been a marketing leader for 20+ years. She began her career in the classroom, in Alberta, which led to her successful move into marketing with Procter & Gamble (P&G) in Toronto. After 10+ years of managing increasing larger brand and business portfolios, Sharon was asked to lead a P&G unique corporate marketing team, designed to protect marketing as a competitive advantage for P&G. She led a multifunctional, multilevel, cross border team to develop and implement a bold, five year category strategy on household paper. This strategy re-launched all household paper brands turning a money losing business into a profit contributor.
Sharon then returned to Alberta to join ATB Financial as Vice President Marketing. She introduced ATB's first provincial campaign to establish the ATB brand. Sharon is now an independent consultant working with organizations of all sizes to strengthen their position in the market. She is also developing marketing people as an instructor and mentor.
