OEB announces 2010 electricity distribution rates for 5 utilities

TORONTO, April 1 /CNW/ - Today the Ontario Energy Board (the Board) announced 2010 electricity distribution rates for the following utilities:

    
    -   Barrie Hydro Distribution Inc.        -   Hydro Ottawa Ltd.
    -   Brant County Power Inc.               -   PUC Distribution Inc.
    -   Halton Hills Hydro Inc.
    

The impact on the delivery line of consumer bills will range from a decrease of 7.8% to an increase of 6.5% for residential customers using 800 kWh per month. The delivery line makes up approximately one-third of the total bill. The distribution rates take effect May 1, 2010.
