OEB approves rate changes for Natural Resource Gas Limited
TORONTO, March 16 /CNW/ - Today the Ontario Energy Board approved changes to the natural gas commodity prices Natural Resource Gas Limited (NRG) charges its customers effective April 1, 2010.
A residential consumer who purchases natural gas directly from NRG and uses 2,009 cubic meters (m(3)) a year will pay approximately $33 more per year. The change reflects an increase in what NRG forecasts it will have to pay for the natural gas it supplies its customers over the next twelve months. What utilities pay for their natural gas supply is passed on to consumers with no markup.
These changes do not affect consumers who have a contract with a natural gas marketer.
Every three months, the Board reviews the natural gas commodity prices NRG charges their customers and adjusts them if necessary.
