OES invites residents to drop off used electronics at Toronto Zoo this
weekend
TORONTO, April 16 /CNW/ - In honour of Earth Day, Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) invites Toronto residents to drop off used electronics at the Toronto Zoo this weekend and then stay to enjoy the "Party for the Planet" festivities. OES staff will be on site to collect electronic waste as part of the fun-filled weekend of activities and games to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. All Zoo visitors are urged to help the planet by bringing used, broken or unwanted electronic equipment for responsible reuse and safe recycling. This keeps hazardous electronic waste out of the landfill which leads to a greener, healthier environment.
Event Details: -------------- Where: Toronto Zoo - Front Entrance drop-off loop 361A Old Finch, Scarborough Date: Saturday April 17, 2010 & Sunday, April 18, 2010 Time: 10:00 a.m-3:00 p.m. Accepted Items: MP3 players, cameras, printers, VCR & DVD players and recorders, radios, computers, monitors and peripherals, cell phones, pagers and PDAs and more.
