OHA Honours Nurses in Commemoration of National Nursing Week
TORONTO, May 7, 2018 /CNW/ - On behalf of the Ontario Hospital Association's (OHA) 143 member hospitals, we are proud to celebrate and acknowledge the hard working nurses throughout Ontario's hospitals and the entire health care system. The numerous contributions of registered nurses, registered practical nurses, and nurse practitioners across the province are invaluable to the critical work that hospitals do.
There are approximately 90,000 nurses working across the province, with over 9,000 being hired in hospitals since 2011. Nurses are at the forefront of transforming patient care across the province – whether it is on the frontlines delivering high-quality care or through senior leadership roles.
"We are proud to celebrate nurses across the continuum of care. The passion and commitment nurses bring to their work is vital to the success of Ontario's health care system," said Anthony Dale, President and CEO of the OHA. "On behalf of the OHA and hospitals, we thank all of Ontario's nurses across the continuum of care, for all you do to benefit patients, their families, your communities, and our health care system."
