OHA's HealthAchieve Wins TSNN's "Best of Show" Award
TORONTO, Nov. 12, 2012 /CNW/ - On November 4, 2012, the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) was presented with Trade Show News Network's (TSNN) "Best of Show" Award for its progressive annual conference and exhibition, HealthAchieve, which has grown from being the OHA's annual convention to one of the largest health care shows of its kind in North America. TSNN has been the world's leading online resource for the trade show, exhibition and event industry since 1996.
The award was announced at TSNN's 3rd Annual TSNN Awards: Celebrating Trade Show Excellence, held November 2-4 in Louisville, Kentucky. HealthAchieve was one of five finalists in this category, and the lone Canadian nominee. The winner was determined through an online voting campaign. Earlier this year, HealthAchieve was also announced as one of TSNN's Top 50 Shows in Canada and was also awarded an "Art of the Show" award from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events.
"I am extremely proud of this great achievement", said Warren DiClemente, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President, Educational Services, Ontario Hospital Association. "It's clear that we stood out, especially when you consider that we were a Canadian event up against many other U.S. shows. We are very proud of HealthAchieve and are honoured to be recognized by our peers in the industry."
HealthAchieve attracts thousands of health care and business leaders and close to 300 exhibiting companies from across the globe. Show participants and exhibitors have praised HealthAchieve as being an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest innovations in technology and health care, hear from world-class speakers and experts from around the world, and to network with colleagues from Ontario and beyond.
HealthAchieve 2012 took place on November 5, 6 and 7 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and featured notable speakers like Don Berwick, Jim Collins and Jann Arden, to name a few. HealthAchieve 2013 will take place from November 4-6 in Toronto.
