O'Leary Funds Management LP announces closing of merger of O'Leary Global Yield Opportunities Fund and O'Leary Strategic Yield Plus Fund and related special distributions for these Funds on December 14, 2012
MONTREAL, Dec. 17, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - O'Leary Funds Management LP, the manager and trustee (the "Manager") of O'Leary Global Yield Opportunities Fund ("OGO") and O'Leary Strategic Yield Plus Fund ("OFS" and together with OGO, the "Funds") is pleased to announce that the merger (the "Merger") of OGO into OFS was completed on December 14, 2012. As a result of the Merger, which was completed on a taxable basis, unitholders of record of OGO on the close of business on December 14, 2012 are receiving a special distribution derived from realized capital gains on investments as well as other realized income sources generated by the Funds during the period from January 1, 2012 through December 14, 2012. The amount of the special distribution per unit, per series, expected to be paid on December 14, 2012, is as follows:

In addition, pursuant to the Merger, unitholders of OGO, the terminating fund, will receive 0.996163965 series A units (exchange ratio of 0.996163965:1), 1.011139104 series F units (exchange ratio of 1.011139104:1), 0.969679354 series M units (exchange ratio of 0.969679354:1), and 1 series X units (exchange ratio of 1:1) of OFS in exchange for each unit of the same series of OGO which they held on December 14, 2012 based on the exchange ratios indicated above. The exchange ratios were determined by the Manager with reference to net asset value per unit of each of the Funds as at the end of business on December 14, 2012.
