OLG Casino Point Edward thanks the Village Of Point Edward
POINT EDWARD, ON, April 23 /CNW/ - OLG Casino Point Edward is celebrating a decade of great gaming, strong community partnership and local economic benefits today. Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) Senior Vice President Gaming, Larry Flynn, site General Manager Dan Gall, and the Mayor of Point Edward Dick Kirkland marked the tenth anniversary with a special cake-cutting ceremony.
"Since the opening of Casino Point Edward ten years ago, OLG has enjoyed a strong community partnership with the Village of Point Edward and its residents," said Larry Flynn, Senior Vice President, Gaming. "We're proud that through this partnership, the Village of Point Edward has been able to support important local programs and initiatives, and we look forward to many more successful years serving this community and providing great entertainment."
As the host community for OLG Casino Point Edward, the Village of Point Edward has received more than $25.5 million in non-tax gaming revenue since the facility opened. Mayor Dick Kirkland states, "OLG Corporate and Casino Point Edward have been great partners with the Village of Point Edward over the last 10 years. We enjoy an excellent working relationship with them and thank them for the many contributions they have made to the Point Edward community over this period."
OLG has also been a proud community sponsor of Beyond the City Lights Tourism Conference, Mackinac Festival 2009, and the annual M.P & M.P.P Breakfast.
OLG Casino Point Edward is owned, operated, and managed by OLG and has created approximately 477 direct jobs. The facility offers approximately 481 slot machines and has attracted more than 8.5 million visitors since opening.
