Omar El Kady Named SVP, General Manager At News Marketing Canada®

Twelve Year Company Veteran To Take On All Canadian Sales Operations

NEW YORK, May 2, 2016 /CNW/ -- News America Marketing (NAM), the premier marketer and influencer for online and offline shoppers in the U.S. and Canada,  today announced that Omar El Kady, a News Marketing Canada veteran for the past twelve years, has been named the company's SVP, General Manager for all Canadian Sales efforts. Previously, he served as a Vice President on News Marketing Canada's Shopper Marketing team.

"He has robust experience on both the Core and Shopper Marketing sides of our business, and we are excited for him to take on this expanded role leading both teams. Our Shopper Marketing business in Canada has flourished under his leadership, and we look forward to seeing the depth of insight and experience he can bring our Core business as well."

Omar began his twelve year tenure with News Marketing Canada as an Account Coordinator in the Toronto sales office, and has since held many roles on both the Core and Shopper Marketing sides of the business. In 2007, Omar was promoted to a Group Sales Manager in Core sales in Toronto, and in 2010 joined the Shopper Marketing team. He was elevated to his most recent role as the Vice President of Shopper Marketing in July of 2011. In that role, he has overseen the Canadian retailer landscape, while simultaneously managing eleven employees and $7 million in Sales, which he has built from a modest $500,000 when he first joined the Shopper Marketing team four years ago.

Omar succeeds Adam North, who will be expanding his role as a Regional Sales Manager in the Eastern Division. The appointment is effective immediately.
