One of the World's Largest Luxury Goods Companies Selects Hitachi ID Systems for Privileged Access Management
CALGARY, March 11, 2014 /CNW/ - Hitachi ID is pleased to announce that one of the world's largest luxury goods companies - a Europe-based, multi-billion dollar enterprise, purchased the Hitachi ID Privileged Access Manager (PAM) product for implementation throughout their business.
"Hitachi ID Privileged Access Manager is network security software designed specifically to address the problem of insecure, static and shared administrator passwords. Most companies consider such non-monitored passwords one of the highest-risk weaknesses in their security setup," says Gideon Shoham, CEO of Hitachi ID Systems. "We are very happy that this company has selected our best of breed PAM solution - and consistent with their overall approach to business, they recognize quality and advantages when they see it."
The company evaluated all leading vendor solutions in the PAM market through a request for proposal (RFP) and detailed on-site proof of concept (POC) . Hitachi ID's team was able to complete the POC in two days compared with over two weeks spent by its main competitor.
"Hitachi ID's Privileged Access Management solution is exactly what we want to implement," says a representative of the company. "We tested Hitachi ID solution against other leading vendors in the space and found it to have, by far, the broadest coverage and lowest overall cost. The technical expertise and delivery abilities of Hitachi ID Systems outperformed all competing vendors."
