One Toronto Gaming Receives City of Toronto and All Regulatory Approvals to Open Table Games at Casino Woodbine
COQUITLAM, BC, Aug. 30, 2018 /CNW/ - Great Canadian Gaming Corporation [TSX:GC] ("the Company") announced today that its subsidiary, One Toronto Gaming ("OTG"), has received the necessary municipal zoning approvals from the City of Toronto to offer table games at Casino Woodbine. As a result of the City's approval, as well as other regulatory approvals, OTG has opened 50 "live dealer" table games at the facility. This is the first time that live dealer table games are available in a gaming facility in the Greater Toronto Area. OTG has also added a diverse mix of new electronic table and "stadium style" gaming positions that can accommodate up to 331 players in addition to the live dealer games.
OTG anticipates a further addition at Casino Woodbine of 50 live dealer table games and over 300 slot machines in the fourth quarter of 2018.
"This is another important achievement for One Toronto Gaming, made possible by the hard work from our team in collaboration with stakeholders including OLG, our regulators, and the City of Toronto," stated Rod Baker, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer. "This not only is a significant step in the expansion and overall development of Casino Woodbine, but this additional gaming amenity has generated over 400 new jobs, and will create another 300 by the end of 2018," concluded Mr. Baker.
